Anemone x cultorum 'Wild Swan' (autumn anemone)

The autumn anemone 'Wild Swan' enchants the garden throughout the season with its large, white, cup-shaped flowers and golden-yellow stamens that tremble at the slightest breeze. A particular eye-catcher is the striking blue-violet-purple underside of the flower, which lends it a magical depth – deservedly, it was named RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year in 2011. As a compact and non-invasive perennial, it provides a long-lasting splash of color along partially shaded woodland edges and forms a charming contrast to colorful summer flowers. Alongside low-growing ferns, ground covers, or colorful hydrangeas, 'Wild Swan' resembles a delicate swan.
