A charming almond blossom, its delicate pink and white flowers reminiscent of romantic apple blossoms. The silky flowers grow densely on slender, graceful stems, creating a profusion of blooms in the garden from June to September. With its long flowering period, it's a true long-blooming perennial for beds and borders. Important for sowing: As light-dependent germinators, the seeds need light to germinate and should therefore not be covered with soil.

Planting instructions
Sowing and caring for almond blossoms
Sowing indoors takes place between March and April. Cover the seeds very thinly with soil, as they are light-dependent germinators. Plant outdoors only when there is no longer any risk of frost. In late spring, they can also be sown directly into the garden bed. Almond blossoms prefer a sunny to partially shaded location with well-draining soil. Water moderately, avoiding waterlogging. Regularly removing faded flowers will prolong the flowering period.
Harvest almond blossoms and cut them for a vase.
The "firmness test" tells you whether the almond blossom is ready to harvest. To do this, gently grasp the stem about 5-8 cm below the flower and test it: If the stem is soft or gives way, it's not yet ready to harvest, but only when it remains firm and stable. It's best to cut it early in the morning when the stems are full of water. It will last for about 7 days in a vase.
