Planting instructions

Sowing and caring for amaranth

Sow seeds indoors in trays between February and April and plant them out from around May/June onwards, once there is no longer any risk of frost. Cover the seeds only lightly with soil.

Harvest amaranth and cut it for the vase

Freshly cut flowers will last up to two weeks in a vase. They can also be dried. To do this, hang the freshly cut stems upside down in a warm, dark place for two to three weeks, or until they feel firm. However, the blossoms are very fragile and can easily fall apart.
