Hakonechloa macra (Japan forest grass)

Graceful, architecturally striking grasses with softly arching leaves that spread slowly via short runners. Japanese forest grasses prefer partially shaded locations with fresh, humus-rich soil, but once established, they tolerate periods of drought very well. They display stunning autumn foliage and provide structural interest in winter.

Location: Sun, shade, fresh soil
Please note: It tolerates periods of drought when overgrown; prune only in spring.

Plant in small groups if possible.
