Let it bloom. A Magazine about Flowers, Gardens and People. Spring/Summer 23

16,00

My absolute favorite magazine and unique in the German-speaking market! Every season, “let it bloom” delivers beautiful portraits of people who love flowers and gardens as much as I do.

On the content of the current issue, the editors write:

Not planned, but very coherent, this issue offers a look at the current who’s who of garden design. Among them Bettina Jaugstetter, who took over essential parts of the planting planning for the soon to begin BUGA. Harald Sauer and Joachim Hegmann, who are creating the most trendsetting perennial beds rich in species in the Palatinate. Rainer Elstermann, who wrote a beautiful book about “Gardens of Now”. Katrin Lugerbauer, with whom I was finally able to speak in person. With her column, she gives us the “Courage to Nature.”

International is the list of women farmer florists we feature in this issue. Kathrin Hofmeister visited Kate Greenwood of botanika in Luxembourg. Rachel Siegfried of Green & Gorgeous in the UK has written a book on the use of perennials in flower growing and floristry. It will be a new standard work!

Of course, we also profile Éva Németh, one of England’s leading garden photographers, who provided the beautiful cover photo. Sebastian Conrad visited Stone House Cottage on the island and wrote about his master training at the Innsbruck Flower School. We then head to Denmark, where the label G-uld dyes wonderful wool with plants. And at the Baltic Sea Inga has created her “my little bullerbyn”.
In addition, “La musa de las flores” from Mexico can be found on our pages, as well as contributions from the flower school Weihenstephan, a green spring recipe from Syl’s pantry. And of course the news from the Slowflower movement, as always summarized by Anne.

The motifs for our card inserts this time come from the wonderful Ling Khor, with whom we visited the garden of artist Antje Lehner, from Josh Westrich, who inspires his iris photography, and from Patrick Brinkschulte, who captures the magic of flowering trees at night.
