Sowing and caring for sea lavender

Press the seeds lightly into the soil and do not cover them with soil (they are light-dependent germinators). Sow indoors between February and April. Plant out only when there is no longer any risk of frost. In late spring, they can also be sown directly in the garden bed. Do not overwater.

Harvesting sea lavender and cutting it for a vase

Cut for a vase when the flowers are half-open (before they are pollinated). They will last about 10 days in a vase. Regular cutting will prolong the flowering period. Sea lavender is easy to dry: simply hang it upside down in a warm, dark place until it is firm.
