Sowing and caring for chamomile
As soon as autumn arrives, sow the seeds outdoors in small pots in a sheltered spot protected from rain, and later transplant the seedlings into the garden bed. Cover the seeds only lightly with soil. Alternatively, you can start at the end of February/March (in colder regions, it's best to start indoors in a cool but bright location and then plant them directly outdoors from the end of March/April). You can speed up germination by placing the seeds in the refrigerator for a week before sowing, as Cool Flowers require this period of cold! They are very easy to care for.
Harvesting and cutting chamomile for a vase
Cut for a vase as soon as the blossoms have opened. They will last for 7 days in a vase. Chamomile is also ideal for drying for teas or tinctures. Regular cutting will prolong the flowering period.
