Myths of the Garden – Bookazine 2023

Of mirages, half-truths and dreams

In Great Britain, people who seem to be at one with plants are called “greenfingers”. Here we speak of “green thumbs”. Both terms suggest that it is a matter of fate, if not something mystical and mythical.

In this bookazine, said thumb and other myths are decoded from A to pH and, in addition to practical aspects of gardening, more philosophical observations are also made: Is nature really all about reproduction alone? Does chaos reign in the natural garden? And why is paradise not of this world?

I was fascinated and inspired by the book and it often spoke to me from the heart. It is great that there are now such treasures on gardening topics in the German-speaking world!
