Sowing and caring for love-in-a-mist
Sow the seeds directly into the garden bed and cover them only lightly with soil. Ensure adequate spacing or thin seedlings later to 20 cm apart. Tolerates late frosts and can also be sown in early autumn for the following year.
Harvest love-in-a-mist and cut for a vase
Cut the flowers when they are fully open. They will typically last 7-10 days in a vase.
The seed pods can be used fresh or dried in bouquets and have an almost unlimited shelf life. To dry, simply hang them upside down in a warm, dry, and dark place for two weeks.
