Sowing and caring for ornamental tobacco

Press the seeds lightly into the soil and do not cover them (they are light-dependent germinators). Sow indoors between February and April. Plant out only when there is no longer any risk of frost. In late spring, they can also be sown directly in the garden bed. Keep the soil moist. Regular pruning will prolong the flowering period.

Harvest ornamental tobacco and cut it for a vase.

The flowers are delicate, so care should be taken when cutting them. Remove wilted flowers from the lower half of the stem every few days. They will last approximately 7-10 days in a vase.
