Luciano Giubbilei is an award-winning Italian garden designer whose gardens have inspired and delighted me for many years. Until now he was known for his elegant and puristic designs, but in recent years he has devoted himself more to plantings. And these are something special: in Great Dixter, for example, he has planted a perennial bed that is one of the most beautiful I have ever had the pleasure of seeing.
