Aster laevis ‘Calliope’

The aster ‘Calliope’ looks particularly good in natural perennial beds and feels at home in the sun as well as in partial shade. With its reddish foliage and contrasting blue-purple flowers, it will add a splash of colour to your garden before the winter dormancy approaches. The aster is a favourite with bees, bumblebees and butterflies and is also suitable as a cut flower.

Habitat: sun/half shade, dry to fresh soil

Plant singly or in small groups if possible.
