Perovskia atriplicifolia ‘Blue Spire‘ (Russian Sage)

Perovskias are decorative plants for warm, dry places with aromatic foliage in a special blue-purple. ‘Blue Spire’ is a large cultivar that fits well in steppe plantings, but is also a beautiful partner to lavender and roses, as long as the different site requirements are taken into account.

Habitat: sun, normal to dry soil
Notes: tolerates drought but not winter dampness, a well-drained, preferably sandy, soil is necessary, the half shrub is cut back completely in spring
