Echinacea purpurea ‘Green Twister’ (Coneflower)

This variety is one of the most interesting of all Echinacea cultivars! On the one hand, it is quite tall at 100 cm and an eye-catcher even from a distance. On the other hand, it has an unbelievable colour variation, which I usually only know from annuals: the initial lime green is gradually joined by attractive pink-coloured petals, starting from the crimson centre. This makes it particularly exciting, also for vase cutting. It reminds me a little of the zinnia “Queen Red Lime”. Definitely give it a try!

Habitat: sun, fresh soil
Notes: water well in dry conditions, otherwise very uncomplicated
