Hosta plantaginea ‘Royal Standard’ (Plantain Lily)

With apple-green foliage and fragrant, white, lily-like flowers, this plantain lily variety is considered one of the most beautiful.

Plantain lilies are long-lived foliage perennials for shady areas. Many varieties are also suitable for planting in tubs, provided they receive adequate watering. The foliage is ideal as a floral accessory. Plantain lilies do not sprout until May, so it is best to combine them with bulbous plants to bridge the gap.
