Scabiosa columbaria (Small Scabious)

Wonderful perennial that brings colour and lightness to the border with its violet-blue flowers. Prefers lean, rather dry soils. The scabiosa is also an excellent insect pasture, magically attracting bees and butterflies.

Height/spacing: 30-70cm/35cm
Habitat: sun, normal to dry soil
Notes: tolerates drought

Plant singly or in small groups if possible.
