Valeriana officinalis (Common Valerian)

Actually known as a medicinal plant, valerian is making big waves as a bedding perennial right now and was in just about every show garden at the Chelsea Flower Show 2019. This is no doubt due to its tall, filigree form and beautiful pale pink and white flowers. Looks transparent and provides a naturalistic touch.

Height/spacing: 150cm/80cm
Habitat: sun, partial shade, fresh to moist soil
Notes: water well in dry conditions, can be used as a medicinal plant
