Acanthus hungaricus (Hungarian Bear’s Breeches)

Balkan Hogweed is an indestructible and hardy perennial of splendid elegance with a historic past, having been used to decorate Corinthian columns. It makes a wonderful cut flower, its clusters of blooms enhancing any vase, and needs little care if planted in its ideal location. Please remember that the perennial needs winter protection.

Habitat: sun, fresh, sandy, loamy soil
